I'm a follower of Christ, wife, mother, published wedding photographer, sweet tea enthusiast and I adore all things weddings.

Together, my husband, business partner + favorite hand to hold, Trevor, and I make Kayce Stork Photography + Films.

I enjoy writing here on our online journal and sharing the knowledge that I've learned over the years in the wedding industry with not only my couples, but anyone who want an extra hand to hold during this amazing, yet busy season of life!

In my career, I've photographed everything from precious newborns to a past United States President, but my passion and focus has been for the wedding industry for over the past 10 years. I truly love this calling and feel blessed each day!

Grab a sweet tea, or your drink of choice, and take a look around.

We talk about engagement portraits, bridal portraits and wedding photography but I don’t talk much about another type of portrait session that I simply adore… Couples and Anniversary Portraits!

Obviously, life gets busy for every one of us. Our job, coming home to deal with everything that must be done before we crawl into bed, wake up, repeat. Have kids and they say this multiplies by the hundreds, LOL!

For your anniversary I hope you plan a special trip together to a place you’ve never seen or a familiar place that NEVER gets old! But there’s also one other thing I hope you’ll consider doing each anniversary… a photo session centered all-around YOU GUYS!

This photoshoot can be as formal, or as casual as you’d like. Maybe even mix it up! One year have formal style photos created, and the next year opt for a more casual look.

Now before you say “Who even has time for this!?” Plan it in advance! 2-3 months even! Talk with your photographer for ideas on what you can do to make it a little more personal for you if you’d like, but never underestimate the elegance of just a classic photoshoot with beautiful clothing. No props, no added stress, etc. Just bring yourselves!

In the event of bad weather think outside the box – like a few shots at your favorite local coffee shop and then go to the bookstore of your choice for a few cute shots! Reading not your thing? Maybe a museum that allows photography indoors? You can even do a quiet session at home in a cute pair of PJ’s with your cats! So many possibilities!!!

Check out this styled anniversary session with a past KSP couple, Jackie and Taylor!

Vendors for this styled shoot were:

Formal Dresses: DeJavu Consignment in Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Florals and floral crown: Matt Washburn of After the Proposal Weddings & Events

Hair & Makeup: Jackie of J Merlau Makeup

Suits were supplied by Taylor

I hope you loved this post and most of all, I hope it inspired you to plan to do a photo shoot all about you and your sweetheart!
