Welcome to the “Three Tips Thursday” blog!
I have some tips to share today on planning your bridal session! We love having the opportunity to work with our bride before her big day.
Tip 1. Do your hair and makeup trial run!
I can’t count the times I’ve photographed a bridal session and halfway through the bride has found at least two things she wants to be changed before the big day. One bride had hair that kept falling in her face and was causing an issue with shadows on the face, not to mention a pain for the bride to deal with! She messaged her hair stylist that day and told her for the wedding day she needed something different.
For makeup, you can decide if you want the makeup to be a little more natural or maybe even a little more dramatic. You will even have an idea of how it will photograph!
Tip 2. Dress fixes!
Who wants to have a dress that’s falling in all the wrong places, too long or even too tight before their wedding day? Wearing your dress for an hour and posing in it will let you know if you need to change anything!
Tip 3. Location, location!
Wedding day timelines don’t always allow for multiple locations, but a bridal session is laid back and allows for more time! We can move locations and have time to really create some beautiful portraits.
You can even hire your hair and makeup artist to come with you on the shoot for touchups! Did you know that’s a thing? Now you do! <3
