3 Reasons I Love Photographing Weddings at The White House Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi

As a Mississippi-based wedding photographer, I’ve had the honor of capturing celebrations at many beautiful venues along the Gulf Coast and the White House Hotel in Biloxi is always a favorite! This historic gem is one of the most lovely wedding venues in South Mississippi and for good reason.

Whether you’re a bride dreaming of a beachfront ceremony, a couple who loves timeless architecture, or someone planning a destination wedding in Biloxi, The White House Hotel offers an unforgettable experience. Here are three reasons I absolutely love photographing weddings at this stunning coastal venue.

1. Timeless Southern Charm That Translates Beautifully on Camera

The White House Hotel is truly a photographer’s dream. Its classic white façade, grand columns, and wraparound porch makes for the kind of timeless elegance that never goes out of style. Whether I’m photographing bridal portraits on the steps out front or capturing a couple’s first look under the mossy oak trees, the setting is always graceful and romantic.

The architecture of the hotel tells a story of Southern charm, tradition, and historic beauty, and adds so much depth to your wedding gallery. The interiors are just as beautiful, and offers plenty of space for getting-ready photos with your bridal party. This venue provides an ideal mix of charm and modern touches, perfect for couples who want a wedding day that feels as meaningful as it is beautiful.

2. Dreamy Natural Light and Scenic Coastal Views

One of my favorite aspects of shooting weddings at The White House Hotel is the way the natural light pours into every part of the venue. From the bridal suite’s tall windows to the soft evening light on the front lawn, everything is bathed in light. For photographers who work with natural light (like I do a lot of), this makes a world of difference in the quality of the final images.

And let’s not forget the location, shall we…situated right across from the beach, The White House Hotel offers panoramic views of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I love sneaking away with couples for a few sunset portraits along the sand or capturing that golden hour magic on the rooftop terrace. It’s the kind of setting that elevates your entire wedding experience and creates those dreamy, romantic images couples cherish forever.

3. Convenience and Elegance All in One Spot

As a wedding photographer, I’ve learned that the flow of the wedding day matters just as much as the aesthetics. The venue shines in this area with the ability to host your ceremony, reception, and even lodging all in one place. This convenience not only makes planning easier for you and your guests, but it also allows for a more relaxed, stress-free day. When everything is happening on-site, it gives us a little more time to enjoy the space for photos. Plus, the staff is always welcoming and professional.

If you’re planning a wedding in Biloxi, Mississippi, and searching for a venue that offers coastal elegance, historic beauty, and true Southern charm, then I can’t recommend The White House Hotel enough.
