I’m a follower of Christ, wife to Trevor, mama, published wedding photographer, and sweet tea enthusiast who adores capturing love stories. I love photographing throughout Biloxi, MS and New Orleans, LA for weddings.

Together, Trevor, my husband, business partner, and favorite hand to hold, and I make up Kayce Stork Photography + Films. It is our joy to serve couples during one of the most meaningful seasons of life, offering not only beautiful memories but peace of mind along the way.

I enjoy writing here on our online journal, sharing tips, insights, and encouragement from over a decade in the wedding industry. Whether you are one of our couples or simply looking for an extra hand to hold through the planning process, I hope you find something helpful and heartfelt here.

Throughout my career, I have photographed everything from precious newborns to a United States President, but weddings have been my passion and focus for over 10 years. I truly love this calling and feel so grateful to do what I do each day.

Grab your drink of choice and make yourself at home. I am so happy you are here!

The Top Traditions Every Couple Should Include in Their Wedding Day

There are many special wedding traditions that you can possibly include in your day. So much so that it can often deter couples from using any of them. Naturally, you should never do anything that don’t resonate with you or fit in with who you are as a couple. However, there are a handful of traditions that every couple should at least consider because they add a unique and personal touch to your special day.

Cut the Cake Early On

Even though a cake is something to look forward to at a wedding, many guests see the cake cutting as a signal that they’re free to head home after the reception. To make sure that all guests feel comfortable and can leave when they feel they need, you can cut the cake shortly after dinner. This way, you and your guests can help yourselves whenever you’re ready to enjoy something sweet. It also won’t stand in the way guests leaving at a time that’s convenient for them. This is especially true for older guests and those with young children.

Print Your Wedding Invites

Many of today’s couples create online invites but there’s just something about paper invites that sets the tone for a one-of-a-kind day. Not only can you get really creative with paper invites but they serve as a physical and visual reminder of the upcoming event. Plus, there’s nothing quite like receiving a beautiful invite in the mail.

Spend Time with Your Guests

If you’re inviting a lot of guests, you may not be able to spend a lot of time with all of them but it’s always appreciated when the couple takes the time to walk around and thank everyone for attending. Whether you set up a receiving line to chat to everyone or make your way around the room after you’ve eaten, your guests would love to congratulate you personally.

Remember, this is your wedding day and you have the freedom to create your own traditions – traditions that you can even pass onto your children one day!
