A Wedding you must see…
Some wedding weekends feel extra special from the very beginning, and Morgan and Ryan’s wedding weekend was one of those!
The rehearsal dinner the night before was the sweetest beginning to the celebration. Guests gathered beneath the beautiful oak trees, enjoying an evening together before the big day. You could already feel how excited everyone was to celebrate Morgan and Ryan, and I think we all knew we were in for a pretty incredible weekend.
Then came the wedding day! And it was ONE for the books! Their day just so happened to fall on my Mom’s birthday, the fourth one with her gone, and I knew it would be a wedding she would love, and I was right!
Morgan and Ryan put so much thought into every detail of their day. Everything was classy, intentional, and beautifully designed without ever taking away from what the day was really about: the two of them and the people they love. Every little detail came together so beautifully throughout the mansion and grounds.
We had a tiny shower early in the day, and I said to myself, “Oh, it’s fine! You can’t untie a wet knot! It will pass, and we will be fine.” I then looked in Morgan’s details box, and there was a little note in the box that said the same thing. Um…how crazy is that?!? You would never know by the golden tones that Oak Crest shows in these photos that we even had a tiny shower.
One of my favorite moments of the entire day was Morgan and Ryan’s first look in the little chapel. There is something so intimate about stepping away from everyone else for those few quiet moments together, and their first look was absolutely perfect. Seeing Ryan see his bride for the first time was such a sweet moment, and I loved being able to capture the excitement and emotion between them.
Then there was Morgan and her dad… allow me to grab a tissue. The SWEETEST FIRST LOOK!
Their first look was one for the books. There was so much emotion packed into those few moments, and you could see exactly how much his girl means to him. Dad loves his girl, and it was written all over his face. These are the moments that make wedding photography so special to me. Years from now, I hope Morgan looks back at those images and remembers not just what her dad looked like, but exactly how it felt to be his daughter in that moment.
The ceremony took place outside the mansion, surrounded by Oak Crest’s beautiful grounds. As Morgan and Ryan exchanged their vows, the sunset began to peek through the windows of the mansion behind them. It was one of those little gifts from heaven that you could never quite plan for, and it made an already beautiful ceremony feel even more magical.
Once the vows were finished, it was time to celebrate! The reception was so much fun. The band kept the energy moving all night long, and the dance floor stayed full as everyone celebrated this new chapter for Morgan and Ryan. There was so much laughter, dancing, and genuine joy throughout the evening. It was the kind of reception where you could look around and see just how loved this couple truly is.
Morgan and Ryan, your wedding weekend was beautiful in every way. Thank you for trusting us with these memories. Your wedding day was wonderful, and I am so thankful we got to be a part of it!
