This Wedding Dress Wednesday is one I’ve never done before!
I chatted with one of my April brides, Madelon, and asked her specific questions on how she found her wedding dress!
Q: How many bridal shops did you visit?
A: I visited ONE bridal shop! So crazy!
Q: Did you have an idea of what dress you wanted?
A: No! I had no idea what kind of dress I wanted! All I knew is I didn’t want anything tight fitted, like a mermaid style.
Pro tip: From talking with so many brides, it’s so important to keep an open mind, but definitely know what you want and like! Madelon would have simply wasted her valuable time and energy had she tried on 4 mermaid style dresses…that’s the energy you can put into searching for THE PERFECT DRESS! So I would be sure to chat with your bridal boutique and tell them what you will probably dislike and what you love most!
Q: How many dresses did you try on?
A: I tried on about 10-12 dresses!
Q: How did you know that you found THE DRESS!?!
A: Funny story, when we got to the shop, we were all placed into a room for me to try on dresses, my dress was actually on the MANNEQUIN!! My mom looked at it and said THAT’S THE ONE!
I was like we will try it on… It was the second one I tried on, but I still wanted to search! I came down to my dress and another one that I was super torn between… I put back on my dress and started crying. Then, I knew. This is the one! And my mom knew before I even tried it on!
(Mothers sometimes do know best, right!?)

A: I Do Bridal & Formal in Mobile, Alabama
